Most of the content of Dragon Age Central has been developer posts to the official Dragon Age forums, first opened in May 2004. But all things must come to an end, and these forums were shut down on 2nd November 2009, the day before the game’s release in North America.
Since I haven’t had time to add much other content to the site for most of 2009, I’ve decided to also shut down Dragon Age Central as it was, leaving it here as an archive.
The new Dragon Age Central is now a much simpler (and fully automated) website dedicated to making developer posts to the new official forum (on Bioware’s social site) easier to find and search through.
It’s been interesting running this site, and in a way I’ll miss it... but hopefully I’ll be too busy finally playing the actual game to care :)

If you are past the login on social and playing around in it, then you already have one - use the email/pwd you used for social as your EA account login. |

Top post on page 16 of this thread. There is no code. Log into the game with the same account you used to upload your character, and it will be there waiting for you. Edited By Fernando Melo on 10/14/09 07:56 |

Yes. Link the two so you can play here & Social seamlessly.
No, unless I misunderstood you. If the button is not active then you haven't created an account from within C.Creator, but rather directly on the site, no? I'm asking if someone that created an account within CC and then had problems on the site. I'd be curious to understand the nature of the xml issue? |

Like other EA games with online features on consoles - you can opt to link your Live/PSN account to an EA account. Once you do this the codes will work and enable those items for consoles. |

Not that I'm aware of but worth looking into. Worthy tip for others though, if nothing else to at least attempt this. Other possibilities - I'm guessing this is for existing EA accounts trying to login to CC. Does anyone have issues of creating a new account withing CC and then not being able to login to social? Also, although it was tested with loc teams maybe there's something with non-english versions of CC and special characters in pwds? |

With all effort on the site itself for launch the Add-Ons page was bumped a bit - it should have info on the item up this week. As to how you get it - no code needed. Just log into the game with the same account you used within C.Creator and it'll be there waiting for you! |

That's interesting. I'll check in on where this is at tomorrow, but that may be related to it being blocked - e.g. maybe if it can't find an internet connection that option doesn't become available?? To answer your other question though, this is the only way to upload at the moment. On the plus side, there's no planned time limit for the item - even if you only get to upload after game launch (and hopefully it won't take that long to figure this out), you'd still get your item then as long as its done through the c.creator. |

Any chance C.Creator as an app is being blocked by something in Windows/firewall? Haven't been able to read the whole thread yet - if you haven't already done so, post what error etc you're seeing when you login with same account in C.Creator as what you do on Social. If you have already done so on this thread, then we'll already have it on the list to look at. |

Try logging into the site to make sure there isn't an issue with the account itself. If you can get that working, then logging in with the same email/pwd on the C.Creator should work fine. |

Seems like a few issues around logging in. I'll list a long-ish overview that may help folks understand what is happening:
First off - keep trying. There is a server load related delay happening these first few busy days, which can play up with account login events & those timing out. LOGGING IN TO SOCIAL: Step 1: You can either login to Social by... a) using your BioWare forum account - consists of your login name on this very same forum that you are using to view this post - and your password that you use to login to this forum - For example: My login name here = social's Display Name = 'Fernando Melo' OR b) using an existing EA online account - consists of an email address, which you used when creating an EA online account when playing with any other EA game where you logged in / had online features, such as Spore, and many of the sports titles, regardless of platform (applies to PC, 360, PS3, etc) - and your password for that EA online account (not your email address password) - For example: you might have created an EA online account in Spore using the email xyz-at-hotmail.123 and password 'letmein'. However, your actual hotmail password (as in, when you login to hotmail itself) is actually 'hotmail'. In this case you would log in to Social (or any EA game that uses the EA online account) with xyz-at-hotmail & 'letmein'. Step 2: If it is your first time on Social, it will ask you for some additional information in order to associate your current BioWare forum account to your EA online account. Why? Social, all of our new online features, the DLC codes, DLC associated to your account etc are all powered up by this new account system. Our existing one (on this forum) is aged and was not going to scale up well. By linking the two together Social can still go back into the older BioWare account based sites as needed - for example, to look up the games you have registered (reflected on this forum), or access forums/sites using the older system such as NWN - while still giving you all the new goodies that come with the updated account system. Further, by linking the two it meant we did not have to do a hard cut over and turn off one site, then force everyone from one day to the next to create brand new accounts without any history and start all over again, and no guarantee that your current display name would be kept. We're very proud of the community we've built over these years, and this allows a smoother upgrade, rather than a hard reboot. Step 3: If you didn't set the 'remember me' flag, you can always log in next time with either your BioWare forum account 'display name' and pwd, or your EA online account email address & pwd. Hopefully that helps. IMPORTANT: Regarding the promo item you get when uploading your character - or any DLC code you get such as other retailer items, The Stone Prisoner, etc - these are all tied to this new account, based on the email address and password used. Make sure you are logging into the right account that you'd like that content associated with. In other words, if you had to create a new account to get in initially, just make sure that in the end you associate your current forum account from here, with the email address you want to have content associated with. And always use that email/pwd when you are redeeming codes or uploading characters. With respect to the actual C.Creator item - this one is done in a way such that no code is even needed. Just log into the game with the same account you used in C.Creator (or Social) and the item will be there waiting for you in DA:O! Edited By Fernando Melo on 10/14/09 06:11 |

Thread: Dragon Age Add Ons page with Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep and Blood Dragon Armor [+7]
Date: Wednesday, 14 October 2009 05:29AM
Seems like it. We'll look into it, but it looks like a mistake. The code for The Stone Prisoner & the Blood Dragon Armor are on a physical card (you can see an example of it on the DLC page on this site) within the sealed retail box itself. If you order a digital version, it should be emailed to you - exact timing of that is down to the digi-retailer's own policies (e.g. could be at time of order, or more likely when ready for download).
Already answered elsewhere, but yes - the DLC supports all languages that the game does. It'll automatically play in whatever language you are playing the main game in. |

Thread: Dragon Age Add Ons page with Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep and Blood Dragon Armor [+7]

Yes, hopefully. Without that there won't be any new content, toolset development, social site improvements, etc. Sadly, we haven't been able to convince our folks to work for free If you're implying (as it actually sounds like) that this will be done in a way solely scheemed at ripping you and others off, then I disagree. However, if you ever do grab any of the DLC and still feel that way then by all means please let us know.
DA:O is exactly what it should be (and then some). That's not to say we wouldn't do an MP game in the future set in the DA universe, but MP was dismissed for DA:O a long time back - in any case it wouldn't be through the DLC team, it would need to be another full game team.
That, I think we can do |

Thread: Dragon Age Add Ons page with Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep and Blood Dragon Armor [+7]

A few other answers...
There are new blood based abilities but these are not the same as blood magic. The DLC abilities are a brand new ability chain. You can access Warden's Keep (and the quest to obtain Shale) once the world map opens up - you need to be able to travel in the world first for these. If you buy a 360 (or any platform) in UK, you can use the codes back home (Germany, in the specific question) - codes are platform specific (PC codes only work on PC), but the codes are not region specific. However, be aware that for console games the main game discs themselves may be region locked. (not an issue in this specific case however of going from UK -> DE) The Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor codes are in the physical box itself and printed on a card (you can see an example of the cards on the DLC page). I'm not aware of retailers actually opening up sealed boxes themselves and taking items like that out. |
